About Me

Elise cropsRobb in garden

When I was growing up my father was an avid gardener. We had an enormous vegetable garden in our backyard that I loved helping him with. It was such a rewarding experience after all of our hard work and time, to be able to pick and eat our fresh vegetables. Those moments with my father in our garden created a passion for gardening and sustainable living that I didn’t know I had until he passed away.

Shortly after his death, I purchased my first home and immediately decided I was going to make a vegetable garden just like I had growing up. What I didn’t realize is that being a child I missed a lot of the details my father simply knew. It was a bit intimidating trying to figure it all out without his guidance I had always relied on. If my father had not given me the spark of a green thumb, I’m sure I would probably have given up. It took time, persistence, and quite a bit of trial and error but I have finally come full circle.  Now I want to share my passion, knowledge, and experiences with others just like my father did for me.

There will always be more to learn and new things to try – I look forward to it – and can’t wait to share my experiences with you!

Happy Gardening!
